ERDDAP Data Access Platform

NERACOOS ERDDAP: http://www.neracoos.org/erddap/index.html

This is the primary ERDDAP installation for NERACOOS and contains the near real-time and historical data from the NERACOOS buoy platforms as well as other datasets from the region.

NERACOOS MBON ERDDAP: In development
This ERDDAP installation will provide access to datasets from the ISMN/MBON program.

NOAA GEO - IDE initiative ERDDAP: https://upwell.pfeg.noaa.gov/erddap/index.html
This is the primary ERDDAP installation for NOAA Global Earth Observation and Integrated Data Environment Initiative.

NOAA COASTWATCH ERDDAP: https://coastwatch.pfeg.noaa.gov/erddap/index.html

This is the primary ERDDAP installation for NOAA Coastwatch and contains data from a variety of NOAA sensors.

Before Cara Wilson begins an in-depth, comprehensive walkthrough, this video goes over the general background on ERDDAP like what it is, where it came from, and why it’s needed.  Wilson also explains how to create a 2D time series graphics, create a Hovmöller diagram, and share a graphic using the provided URL.

Rich Signell of USGS guides the viewer through extracting data using ERDDAP, to then be further manipulated in other programs like Python, Matlab, or R.

This NOAA video uses forecast data for the Fukushima Region from the US Naval Oceanographic Office to illustrate how to extract ocean surface currents from ERDDAP, and use them for simulated particle tracking in an application called General NOAA Operational Monitoring Environment.

NERACOOS has a THREDDS server to access real-time and highest QA/QC historic observations from NERACOOS data partners. We will be actively adding data to this resource from observation and modeling data.

NERACOOS THREDDS - CF 1.6 Compliant: http://www.neracoos.org/thredds/sos_catalog.html
The THREDDS Data Server (TDS) is a web server that provides metadata and data access for scientific datasets, using a variety of remote data access protocols.
This TDS catalog is CF 1.6 compliant and includes SOS services.

NERACOOS THREDDS - : http://www.neracoos.org/thredds/catalog.html
Initial TDS catalog, includes model data and CINAR TEMPEST data.

NERACOOS WAF (Web Accessible Folder): http://www.neracoos.org/WAF/
Directory of ISO Metadata records for NERACOOS data.
